Our instructors are licensed, and insured through Sail Canada. Our Instructional sailing programs are built upon years of experience on various sailboats.

Your success is our priority. Our instructors provide a personal approach, tailoring learning methods to each student's needs. We haven't completed our work until you are safe and comfortable on the water.

Our boats are equipped with all required safety equipment that meet or exceed Transport Canada's requirements. Our school, and boats are approved through Transport Canada, and we are an approved Recreational Boating School. Throughout the course we will have you use a checklist to confirm everything is onboard and functioning properly prior to departure. Our approach is that safety is priority one.
Yes, after completing the course requirements of either Start Keelboat Sailing, or Basic Cruising, your sailing logbook is endorsed by our instructors. This endorsement demonstrates that you have met the Sail Canada standard for the particular course.
No, and it is probably best not to run out and buy things until after the classroom session! An old gym bag with a couple items is perfect for now. You should bring a hat, soft soled shoes, sweater, water, and a desire to learn. We will look after the rest.
Generally speaking no. Our keelboats are comfortable and normally dry. Sometimes while on the water a quick rain shower passes through, or an occasional splash may get you! Other than that you will remain dry, and this sport is suitable for non swimmers.
